Dot's Quilt Shop is named after my Grandmother, Dorothy Minton. Both of my grandmothers were savvy with their sewing machines.
Grandma Vera Moon made many dresses for my sisters and I, as well as a quilt for each of her grandchildren.
My Grandma Minton made many quilts and clothes, attended "quilting" in Fay, Oklahoma, every Tuesday, and provided machine quilting services for many. She was known as Dot, and while she was machine quilting, she would hang a sign on the front door of her home to notify friends and family she was in "The Quilting Shop." Clothing items and other items made by my grandmothers are on display in the store.
